We are building a commercial captive portal system with 802.1x, 802.11r AP roaming, dynamic VLANs, bandwidth shaping, etc. Essentially a system where we can sell access to a Wifi network where each account can have several Wifi devices connected, visible only to each other, and the whole account bandwidth managed.
Our current solution is something like Ubiquiti APs reflashed with OpenWRT, all managed from PF, with pfSense handling the bandwidth control.
2 questions:
1) Can the account information in PF be synced with pfSense so that all the account settings from login credentials to allowed bandwidth be handled through one management portal?
2) Is there a better all-in-one solution that provides NAC and gateway in one? My solution above doesn't provide 802.11r (that I know of) and requires managing two different boxes.
