Making a custom error page.

So i SSH into the PfSense box, find where the error html files are located

BASH
/usr/pbi/squid-i386/etc/squid/errors/en

but as i am logged in as me and im admin it seems i get access denied when i try to add files to this folder or edit the files ...

It says the owner / group is proxy .... i dont want to change owner, if i add myself into the proxy group would that allow me to edit the files and add my own files and code ?
