WLAN as my LAN Interface in PFSense

Hello everyone,

This is my first time setting up a PFSense so I apologize in advance if this question may sound a bit stupid.

I just finished installing PFSense in my company laptop to do a test trial if I can connect it to our Sonicwall NSA2600 via site-to-site VPN. Since this laptop has only one Ethernet and Wireless as its interfaces, I configured the ethernet interface as its WAN and enabled the connection from outside to access the GUI and configure the Wireless interface as LAN.

The Ethernet interface as WAN worked flawlessly and I'm accessing the GUI using the WAN IP however, I can't seem to configure the Wireless interface as LAN since it is showing "no carrier" status on the PFSense GUI. I'm under impression that this kind of setup should work? or am I just mistaken? Do I need an additional NIC adapter for this to work?...
