I have recently decided to build myself a FTP server for work to store files, this is on a VMWare based cloud platform.
my basic setup is as follows:
Internet---------WAN----------PFSense----------LAN---------Webserver
I have configured everything on PFSense to begin with I wanted to be able to get internet access on the webserver via pfsense but, after alot of reading and playing around i`m still not able to.
I have the following NAT rule setup as well as WAN and the LAN rules
I also have a default route on the webserver pointing all traffic to PFsense
when I try and access google.com I just get a page cannot be found, ping from pfsense and to pfsense are successful which makes me think it is something with the forwarding of traffic which is wrong.
as well as this the only traffic I see in the logs from the webserver is DNS traffic...
