I was given the project of setting up a "test environment", where we could fail over VM's in the event of serious hardware failure at datacenter "DC1" to "DC2". We use VEEAM, I have figured out the software aspect of this, it is of no concern.
However the network aspect of this makes my head spin. I am currently studying CIT 1122 and feel like this project is a bit over my head.
Site 1: DC1 (PFsense 1 | PFsense 2) - HA CARP Setup
There is an IPSEC VPN Tunnel Connecting the two
Site 2: DC2 (PFsenseA | PFsense B) - HA CARP Setup - Failover test site
Exec Office: Has software that connects to server's at DC1 primarily, for failover they would need to be pointed to DC2
I am not looking to automate the process (something pings out and routes change, I am looking for an approach where I can in essence "turn on" routes that would point specific...
