Straight to the point. A prospective ISP limits content, such as videos and downloading files, to 5GB per month while permitting unlimited web surfing. Is it possible to work around this limitation with a different ISP on a secondary WAN port in a multigateway? *GASP* that was a mouthful.
To help you better understand the situation, let me explain in a little more detail.
I currently have two modems that provide "4G" internet to our server which has been set up with a multi-WAN gateway. I use this setup to "double" our internet speeds. The biggest problem is that our provider is unreliable and not as fast as it should be. OK, its extremely slow most of the time. But its the only unlimited internet provider in my area. I found a possible alternative ISP but it's not perfect. This alternative would provide faster, more reliable speeds with unlimited browsing. But they limit media such as videos and file downloads to 5GB per month. That won't work for our school. So I was wondering, it was possible to have our current ISP pick up the content that is restricted by the new ISP after exceeding the 5GB cap?I 'm asking if this is possible because at this point, it seems very theoretical. And I'd like to have more confidence that this will work before I pay to have this satellite service installed.
A few more details:
My server is running pfSense and is setup with a multigateway with two modems from our ISP. This has allowed me to double our internet speed. I'm under the impression that this is a "file level" distribution between the two WANs rather than "packet level".
