Why can't I access my files in my server through a vnp connection?

I used to have my VPN set up with Untangle but I recently switched to pfSense. I am able to connect to my network through my VPN and I can ping my server but I can't seem to access any of my files when going to the file explorer and type \\server1\\MyFiles

Is there another step that I'm missing in the pfSense configuration or is it on my windows server that I have to do something.
