PFSense best configuration for local lan

Here's our current setup and where I would like to go with it.

We have two locations. Each location has a 1gbps Internet Fiber. They also have a 500mbps Point to Point line that is Ethernet over Fiber. Dhcp works through that P2P line so we can operate the two locations with a single dhcp server as if it was all one LAN. However, we are running into issues with that as if they're all using the same dhcp server they're getting the same gateway which depending on where it's located could be the wrong one. In the event that gateway goes down, everyone is down except the ones with static IPs going through the other gateway.

Here's what I would like to do and perhaps someone can explain a better way:
