Pfsense and email server

I setup my email server behind a pfsense firewall, i setup the rules in the nat firewall for email server, i can recieve emails but i am unable to send out, 

Reason: 550-5.7.26 This message does not have authentication information or fails to

i Have open port 143,993,25,587 and still i cant send out. should i have created the rules in the firewall/rules

or firewall NAT. any help as usual greatly appreciated
