Question about single x4 VS dual x2 NIC for pfsense

Hi all!

I'm looking at getting the Intel I350-T4V2 and am wondering, is there any advantage to going with dual x2 Intel NIC VS a single quad from a security point of view?

Also, if I wanted to run a honeypot on the same machine as pfsense, is that a good idea? If so, is there any difference between getting dual x2 Intel NIC VS a single quad NIC?
