I have a weird issue that I can't figure out - wondering if anyone can help. I have a machine in a rack at home that I'd like to be able to switch on with a WOL packet. I set up the BIOS to allow it, added the required settings in Windows (it's a Windows 10 machine), shut the machine down and then tried to send the WOL packet through pfSense - nothing seemed to happen.
Some time later I had the machine switched on (I manually turned it on) and I found that my internet connection was so incredibly slow it may as well have been down. I actually called my broadband provider who thought there was a fault on the line and sent an engineer out, who then apparently 'fixed' something, but my broadband speed was still awful.
I then reset pfSense and everything went back to normal.
