I had been using a Protectli Vault 4 Port, Firewall Micro Appliance/Mini PC - Intel Quad Core, 8GB RAM, 128GB mSATA SSD running pfSense at a location with another one at a branch office, both running OpenVPN for a tunnel between the 2. Everything goes through that tunnel. At one end, there are only 2 users, but phones and network traffic is tunneled to the first location. When COVID hit, 10 users started working offsite, so we bought laptops, and I installed the OpenVPN client on each of their laptops. The Internet on those remote laptops slowed a lot, but I figured it was because of the encryption. I don't know how to make that better. I've also had problems with their connections becoming unstable. As a terrible workaround, I gave each user a batch file on their desktop to restart the OpenVPN service, which regains their connection....
