Ok I am looking at using pfSense for routing and firewalling of my office network.
I have a server built with intel x710-da4 quad port 10G fibre NIC and pfSense installed.
My service provider has installed a couple of ADVA devices to provide fibre on to the premises.
I have been told I need to connect a specific port on my ADVA unit to my LAN.
The unit is a ADVA fsp xg116pro
I have connected the correct port on the ADVA unit to the WAN interface on my pfSense firewall/router
LAN configuration works fine but I am having issues with configuring WAN and am unsure if this is because I have some hardware incompatibility problem or I need another device between these two units.
All settings are default.
My WAN is configured whereby:
my network is defined as x.x.x.128/29
my pfSense WAN interface is x.x.x.130
with upstream gateway as x.x.x.129
I was told...
