Hello everyone, I have 2 QNAP NAS's and I need them to be able to connect to the internet to get updates and download apps for the NAS itself. I can connect to them internally with no issue but I cant have them connect out to the internet to get updates or download new apps. When I click check for updates on the NAS, I get the error: "Firmware upgrade can't be performed. Please check the network connection, or update it manually."
Also, there is an error that states "Auto router configuration (UPnP port forwarding). The router does not support UPnP protocol or you have not enabled the UPnP function on the router.
I reached out to QNAP support when I saw that error above and they stated,"It would be recommended not to use UPnP, but to manually port forward the port for the NAS. You may use a VPN as well, but you would still need to enable...
