I have pfsense running solidly in our church environment. We have the following setup
1 WAN (ATT U-Verse 20M down, 1up)
shared across
1 Private (NIC)
1 Public (NIC)
Question: I'd like to know some best practices and words of wisdom given I'd like to accomplish the following.
- I'd like to give priority to the private network traffic especially on Sunday. I also don't want anyone to hog the network.
- Should I use CBQ or HFSC given that this stuff seems to be black magic to me :-)
- If I use the wizard for Single WAN and 2 LAN, the 2 lan configurations ( private and public for me) end up matching. I don't think that is what I want. Suggestions on specific settings to give the private network (office environment) over the public network.
I'd appreciate any insight you can provide. Thanks!
