Routing OpenVPN traffic on PFsense - IP range issue.

Hello,

I’m looking for a bit of advise on routing Open VPN traffic on PFsense.


We have an office in the UK and one in NYC – previously connected by an ipsec tunnel on PFsense – now connected via a dedicated Point to Point connection, bypassing the firewall.

Internally, traffic transfers are fine and users can access the remote office over the Point to point connection.

The Issue is remote users using VPN. ( Open VPN server configured on PFSense firewall )

Remote users can connect to their local LAN, but not to the remote office. The issue is being caused by the fact OpenVPN creates a different IP range to the local LAN.

Ranges are

UK Lan IP allocation ( in the office ) – 11.1.0.0/16

UK VPN ( openvpn)– 192.168.8.0/24

US VPN (openvpn)– 192.168.9.0/24

US LAN IP allocation ( in the office )– 192.168.10/24

I did a Test PPTP VPN...
